An Ode to the Lo-Fi Hip Hop Girl
I hope her notebook fills eternal
and her ink well never dries.
I hope her hand, it never cramps
and her headphones never die.
Though she may toil in academic limbo
I hope her studies never cease,
for should she e’er complete her course
could be a fatal blow to me.
Her music, it propels me –
it’s the soundtrack to my work.
Thus, I pray she never feels well-studied,
though it makes me sound like quite the jerk.
These lo-fi hip-hop beats are why my work gets done on time.
You even have them to thank for this strange semi-meta rhyme.
